greenPower KWK Technologie was created in 2005 as a new area of business for Alfred Kuhse GmbH. As one of the world's leading producers of switchgear and process controllers for energy generation systems, Kuhse made the decision to start designing and building the CHPPs controlled by its existing products.

The outstanding expertise gained during over 80 years of company history and innovative technologies contributed to the launch of the first vegetable-oil-driven CHPP modules with outputs of 30, 250 and 400 kW.

In 2007, KUHSE was the market leader in this sector with its greenPower units. Even then, KUHSE put ecological responsibility and economic sense centre-stage. By using its perfected control and remote monitoring systems, which are guided by efficiency, it succeeded in introducing highly efficient system solutions.

Since 2008, greenPower has expanded its product range to incorporate gas-driven CHPPs with outputs starting at 35kW.

In 2009, the decision was taken to found the greenPower Gesellschaft für effiziente Energieerzeugung mbH on 01/01/2010. This step confirms KUHSE's major commitment to the field of CHP technology. Through its continuing close cooperation with KUHSE, greenPower will also benefit in the future from its first-rate experience and high-quality technology.
